James Cameron er på vej med en ny film. Den har taget næsten fire år.
Det er en sci fi film i 3D og Sigourney Weaver er med! I am there!
Plottet er som følge:
Unfolding in the distant future on an exotic alien planet called Pandora, it’s the story of paraplegic ex-Marine Jake Sully.
After undergoing an experiment to exist in the alien world as an avatar – a
blue, 10ft-tall, genetically engineered biological body, controlled by
his human mind – Sully finds himself torn in a fight for his own
survival and that of Pandora’s indigenous people, the Na’vi.
Cameron’s script sets up an epic war between the native race of an incredible world and the humans who want to exploit it.

Læg mærke til at de siger at hans næste film ( Avatar ) kommer ud i 2007. Den blev så lige 2 år forsinket.

Cameron spoke about the technology he is using on the new film, claiming that it was the inspiration for Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson to take on the "Tintin" trilogy.
"With the capture technologies we developed, the actor can be any character they can imagine and the director can create any world, any time and any space," explained Cameron. "I invited [Spielberg and Jackson] over while shooting 'Avatar.' I put the camera in their hands and they basically became two kids. They were running around the stage, working the camera, and that's the moment when they both kind of looked at each other in the eye and said, 'Let's make 'Tintin'."

release from 20th Century Fox about "Avatar Day" for James Cameron's
Avatar:
On August 21, the world will get its first look at
director James Cameron’s motion picture epic AVATAR, when Twentieth
Century Fox and Cameron debut the film’s trailer everywhere – while
select cinemas and IMAX® theaters will screen extended footage prepared
by the renowned filmmaker for this global “Avatar Day” event.
The
worldwide trailer launch will be presented in all formats, including
IMAX® 3-D, IMAX® 2-D, digital 3-D, digital 2-D, and 35mm 2-D. The
trailer will also be available online.
The extended look at
AVATAR will unspool only on August 21 – and only in 3-D – in select
theaters and IMAX®. Details on locations and reserving tickets for this
extraordinary and unprecedented experience will be announced soon.
In
addition on the 21st, Ubisoft® will unveil the trailer for their
videogame James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game, and Mattel will reveal the
action figures for the film’s Avatar and alien Na’vi characters.
AVATAR
takes us to a spectacular new world beyond our imagination, where a
reluctant hero embarks on a journey of redemption, discovery and
unexpected love, as he leads a heroic battle to save a civilization.
